INFLAMMATION AFFECTS EVERYTHING

  • In 2004 I was struggling. Struggling with my mental health, struggling with acne, struggling with crazy hormone and mood swings, struggling with sports injuries, and worst of all - struggling with chronic migraines. I didn't know it at the time, but these were all because of unchecked inflammation in my body.
  • I remember crying on the bus, in the grocery store, and behind closed doors at the despair I felt about my health - I didn't know where to turn. Healthcare providers gave me pills and shut me out. I was confused and in pain.
  • Thankfully (as my father would put it) I have a "stubborn" nature. I couldn't accept that I was supposed to feel so completely broken in my early twenties. I tried all methods of therapy, read countless books, experimented with diet plans and an expansive variety of healing modalities, and became certified as a Health Coach.
  • Not surprisingly, once I sorted out my diet and stress levels, my acne cleared, I had fewer and fewer depressive tendencies and migraines, and my shin splints and diagnosed 'acute shoulder tendonitis' resolved themselves!
  • It took me years. Years to sort out what worked and what didn't. I started helping others along the same path, through yoga and health coaching to transform their lives as well. And the results came in! The more we took a whole system approach and learned to manage our inflammation, the more vibrant we all began to feel.
