Course Overview

In this course, you will expand upon your knowledge of Pranayama 1, and learn to incorporate simple kriya, mudra and bandha techniques into the pranayama practice. By mindfully connecting with the energy of the subtle body, you will create more inner body awareness, as well as learn to indirectly nourish the nervous system.

Note for CE Credits: If you are a current teacher taking this course for Yoga Alliance CE credits: 3 hours for Techniques, Training, and Practice.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the difference between kriya and pranayama, and describe common examples of each.

  • Practice and teach pranayama incorporating the mindful use of bandha and breath retentions.

  • Practice and teach kapalabhati, viloma, sitali, and bhramari techniques.
