Without the appropriate approach and education, menopause can be an extremely debilitating and disheartening time. In the 'Mindful about Menopause' course, each week you will explore a pillar of hormonal health that has meaningful impact on your energy, symptom expression, mood and mindset. Four group coaching sessions will be an opportunity to share your experience and learn from others, including our master teacher, Fiji. For many women this chapter of life has been challenging, complex, and confusing, this course will empower you with knowledge, science backed strategies, and support. Fiji has been a wellness educator for over two decades, and is a living example of the healing power of yoga. She has studied yoga, ayurveda, nutrition, fitness and life coaching, and after working in the field of education with a direct focus on neurology and neuroplasticity, she has nurtured an indelible curiousity for how the brain and body work together. This perspective has helped her use the tools of mindfulness, breathwork and yoga to create meaningful shifts in her own mindset and mental health.

Recently, she began to experience menopausal hormone shifts and set out to actively participate in her experience of this new chapter. What she uncovered is a wealth of essential information and research that is, for the most part, unknown to many women. With heartfelt desire, she now shares what she has learned to help women who are experiencing their own versions of menopause. She hopes that by bringing her lived experience to the classes, workshops, and retreats she leads, that she can help be a part of the change for the better for women, and ultimately all of us in the long run.

Menopausal weight gain is multifactorial and shifting out of a state of weight loss resistance is done through many different practices. Many women experience weight gain around their midsection during this hormonal shift and don’t understand why or what to do about it. We will explore the important hormonal changes happening that contribute to this and explore ways to restore insulin sensitivity and optimal metabolic function.
The zoom sessions are all recorded and shared with the cohort after for those who could not attend live. They are intended to help us create a supportive community where we can learn from each other, and grow together. It is also an opportunity to answer questions you may have about how to integrate the content you are learning.
